About Dr. Rajan Modi
Dr. Rajan Modi earned his MBBS and M.S. from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, beginning his surgical journey at the prestigious J.J. Hospital — a centre of excellence in general surgery. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.MAS), which has remained his professional focus ever since: delivering the best surgical outcome with the smallest scar.
In 1987, he founded Kapadia Multispeciality Hospital in Goregaon with a singular mission — to bring state-of-the-art surgical services to the suburbs of Mumbai. Over more than three decades, he has mastered laparoscopic abdominal procedures, laser and stapler techniques for piles, and advanced diabetic foot management, consistently updating his skills through national and international conferences.
A pioneer of modern varicose vein treatment in Mumbai, Dr. Modi trained under international experts and is a member of the American College of Phlebology (USA). He also established Mumbai's first Advanced Wound & Vein Clinic, where countless limbs have been saved through HBOT, podiatry support, and cutting-edge wound healing technologies. Beyond the operating theatre, he has published research papers, chaired scientific sessions, and trained over 20 overseas surgeons in advanced laser surgery — including live TEP hernia demonstrations at K.E.M. Hospital.
